Yoga and Embodiment Practice

In movement, in life, we approach edges. We are invited to breathe in and out. We can make space with our inhales. We can soften into and honor that space within the exhales. Slowly, breath by breath, gesture by gesture, we can stretch ourselves wider and deeper. We can create a container within to hold the complexities and multiplicities of life and death, past, present and future that continuously combine in the body and soul in the here and now. In bending, twisting, folding, bowing, extending, rotating internally and externally, we mirror the shape shifting process of nature. We build trust and tolerance to be with what presents itself in the here and now with a sense of spacious welcome. The gifts harvested from an embodied practice may be extremely helpful in processing and integrating all that is difficult and joyous in life. I believe it is important to couple embodied practices with psychotherapy. I do not see a separation between body/earth, soul, and psyche. All must build relationship to each other for balance to be restored. The main focus of embodiment sessions is about deep listening, responding, allowing, letting go, being with, honoring and attending to what the body is willing to share.  No perfecting, performing or producing please. Appropriate for all bodies, all abilities.
